SURF LIFE SAVING
Daniel is a qualified Surf Life Saver patrolling at the iconic Bondi Beach in Sydney for more than ten years. He holds both Bronze and Silver Medallions, as well as a Certificate in Public Safety. As a volunteer, he leads a team in ensuring beach safety, performing rescues, resuscitations and first aid. He has served as Patrol Captain for more than 6 years and in 2020 was presented with the National Patrol Service Award. As a member of the education team he also contributes to the development of younger club member and ‘nippers’, training the next generation of lifesavers.

Daniel is passionate about our environment and champions sustainable and responsible practices, especially when working creatively with young people. He is a Climate Reality Leader, having trained with Al Gore and renowned scientists in the Climate Reality Project, in a global network of activists committed to spreading awareness of the climate crisis, working for solutions to the greatest challenge of our time.
